Really? Why? Isn’t he accused of racism and going to be, eventually, prosecuted for such racial abuse? Surely he’s the last choice of England football player to be made captain, representing England, isn’t he? Shouldn’t our nations representatives be the best role models? Shouldn’t they be people we, our entire nation, can be proud of? Same goes for the manager of the national football team, I have heard that the Spurs manager Harry Redknapp should be the next England manager but isn’t he accused of being a crook? Do we really want racists and crooks representing our nation? I myself, as an English man, am not racist nor a crook, racists and crooks sure as Hell don’t represent me, though anyone who knows me would know I’m not a proud English man, and I guess they’d be right, though my pride of our National Parks, museums, Shakespeare, Sir Isaac Newton is of a huge nature. So there are things I am proud of, I guess the English things I’m ashamed of are the British government, and political parties, the Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, Labour and the British National Party are a huge embarrassment, and a disgrace to me at least, the English Defence League are also a huge embarrassment and disgrace, again to me, the England football team interests me not at all, the players don’t fill me with pride because I dislike the fact they get paid huge amounts of money for being average, I don’t like their attitudes, I don’t like their lifestyles, proven allegations of racism, of infidelity, of violence, of drugs, don’t instill me with pride. Naturally of course the fact that in the 2006 Football World Cup, under Sven Goran Erikkson, the England team were awful, in the 2008 European Championship qualifications, under Steve McClaren, the England football team were so bad they failed to qualify for the tournament, in the 2010 Football World Cup, under Fabio Capello, the England football team were so dreadful, I laughed at their sheer incompetence, the players lack of being able to control a ball, pass a ball, create and score goals, prevent the opposition from creating and scoring goals, the incompetence, inability to play football, was laughable, and the players were insolent, uncaring and completely lacking in shame at their appalling performance. The England football team have gotten worst, there’s been no progression, no evidence of improvement. But do the players ever get blamed? Nope, it’s always the fault of the manager, apparently, though I figure if the manager chooses the best players in the country, sets out the tactics, and then the best players England have to offer fail on the pitch game after game isn’t the managers, maybe someone clever can explain to me, just how is that the managers fault?
I guess it’s not important if John Terry captain’s England, I guess the important thing is the performance of the team, it will be interesting to see if they are capable of performing competently, or will they be absolutely rubbish like in 2010? I’m looking forward to the tournament and I’ll admit right now, I will laugh if England are useless. Not very patriotic? I could counter with, it’s not very patriotic if you’re English and you haven’t read the works of Shakespeare. So nerrr.
